Schedule
This week, get good at something new.
Make friends anywhere, anytime, any place. Learn how to start a business. Work on RC cars in Auto shop. Shoot and edit a film. Record a podcast. Print something on a 3D printer. Learn first aid that could actually save somebody. Stand up in front of a room and enjoy it.
All of it is free, none of it needs experience, and every one of these is something you’ll still have at thirty. Find one on the calendar and come try it.
Times not showing what you expected? Email claire.brown@bgcutah.org and we’ll confirm what’s running this week.
Whatever’s on, this is always waiting
Some things move around on the calendar. These are here every single time you come.
Monday to Thursday. Junior high runs earlier in the afternoon and high school runs through the evening — ask us for this term’s exact times. Fridays are tournament nights.
Free tournament night
The big one. Poker tables, a Mario Kart bracket, ping pong, bingo, trivia, minute to win it and cornhole — all tournaments, all social, all free to enter.
Free food and free prizes, every Friday. You can genuinely walk in with nothing and walk out having eaten and won something.
An activity
A basketball court and an open field: pickleball, volleyball, frisbee golf, lawn games, nine square in the air, cornhole, RC car racing, ping pong — or open gym. Everybody plays, nobody sits out.
Open Shop
3D printers, RC cars, Nerf wars, driving simulators, video and board games, billiards, ping pong, and a podcast studio you can actually record in. Come and learn something, then it’s all yours.
Dinner and a snack
A full five-part meal and a three-part snack, free, every day you’re here for class. Nothing to explain — just come and eat.
Not sure what to come to first?
Come on a Friday. It’s all tournaments — poker, ping pong, Mario Kart, bingo, trivia, minute to win it, cornhole — so you’ll have met people before you’ve worked out what you want to play.
We have our own side door on the south side of the Boys & Girls Club of Utah County, with the Life Shop sign on it. Come straight in — we’d love to show you around.
